Centrifugation / embedded-adsorption enrichment membrane

Centrifugation / embedded-adsorption enrichment membrane

Centrifugation and embedded adsorption concentrate dispersed targets at an ultra-thin membrane surface before clearing, slide preparation, staining and digital review.

Route value

Concentrate dispersed targets onto one ultra-thin membrane

Centrifugal action moves the sample through the sandwich cup, concentrating and retaining target particles at the embedded-adsorption membrane surface before optical clearing, slide preparation, staining and digital review.

Concentrated targets
Bring low-abundance, dispersed targets into a compact membrane area so downstream observation starts with a more focused field.
A more connected workflow
Carry the enriched membrane interface into preparation and observation with fewer tube changes, transfers and repeated handling steps.
Built for standardised handoffs
Combine the sandwich-cup consumable with preparation, staining and scanning products to organise repeatable batch workflows.

Technology principle

The sandwich cup guides a pretreated sample into the embedded-adsorption membrane interface under centrifugal action, concentrating dispersed targets within a compact ultra-thin membrane area. A porous membrane normally appears white because air in its pores scatters light. Matched clearing medium reduces that scattering while targets remain at the surface, ready for slide preparation, staining, microscopy or digital review.

Workflow connection

  1. Step 1Sample pretreatment

Bring the sample into the sandwich cup

Load the pretreated liquid sample into the standardised sandwich cup to create a stable entry point for sample, membrane and centrifugal action.

  2. Step 2Enrichment

    Concentrate targets at the membrane

Centrifugal action brings the sample to the embedded-adsorption membrane, concentrating dispersed targets within a compact ultra-thin membrane area.

  3. Step 3Slide preparation

    Clear and prepare the membrane

Connect the enriched membrane to matched optical clearing, slide preparation and staining so surface-retained targets are ready for observation.

  4. Step 4Microscopy

Move into microscopy and digital review

Continue from the prepared membrane into manual microscopy, semi-automatic scanning or automated scanning as one connected review workflow.
