- Concentrated smears and acid-fast staining of sputum and other specimens; the kit contains both Ziehl-Neelsen and fluorescent acid-fast stains
- Method
- After the specimen is digested and inactivated, bacteria are concentrated on a filter membrane in a centrifugal-filtration sandwich cup, followed by acid-fast staining
